CONSERVATISM WINS ONE!!!

Whether or not the Republican “good old boys network” will ever learn remains to be seen.

Don’t misunderstand me, most average Republicans are conservatives believing that life is sacred, marriage is between a man and a woman, taxes should be lowered, government should be reduced in size, spending should be radically reduced, a strong military should be maintained, our borders should be protected  and politicians should put America first!  No American political figure should put the Uniited Nations first, not European or other nations first: America should come first.

However, the old Rockefeller Republicans and other moderates are still playing poltics as usual.  That is why tragically and wrongly Newt Gingrich can endorse a Republican as liberal as Dede Scozzafava.

We Republicans must awaken to put the well-being of the nation first and return to our legitimate values.

When David Duke, a racist from Louisiana, was a Republican the party refused to support him because of racism.  that was the right thing to do……….now the party should refuse to support liberals who call themselves Republicans, like Dede Scozzafava.

Thankfully Republicans like House Minority Leader John Boehner and Minority Whip Eric Cantor have endorsed Hoffman, the only conservative in the race. Courageously Sarah Palin, and Tim Pawlenty and former Senator Fred Thompson had already endorsed the Conservative Party candidate, Doug Hoffman before the liberal Scozzafava dropped out.

Michael Steele spoke of Scozzafava after she dropped out as as a person he “respects” for dropping out.  The truth is, however, she was losing badly against both the Democrat Owens and Doug Hoffman.  When you are being clobbered, I am not sure it is heroic to bail out, but it certainly is appropriate.

We can only hope Republican leaders on the national level will start supporting CONSERVATIVE Republicans only!  It is fine for moderates to vote with the party on whatever issues they choose, but the purpose of the Republican party should be front and center with the announcement of every candidates!

A REAL PREACHER…where are the preachers who will stand up for the truth?

RECENT VIRGINIA CHURCH  SERVICE -STIMULUS SERMON

Genesis 47:13-27

I would love to give the Pastor of this predominantly black church inVirginia a hug and a high five. This guy is obviously a leader

Perhaps we should each decide who our real leader is…It is amazing to see that very little has changed in 4,000 years.

Good morning, brothers and sisters; it’s always a delight to see
the pews crowded on Sunday morning, and so eager to get into
God’s Word.  Turn with me in your Bibles, if you will to the 47th
chapter of Genesis, we’ll begin our reading at verse 13, and go
 through verse 27.

Brother Ray, would you stand and read that great passage for us?

….(reading)…

Thank you for that fine reading, Brother Ray…  So we see that
economic hard times fell upon Egypt , and the people turned to
the government of Pharaoh to deal with this for them.  And Pharaoh
nationalized the grain harvest, and placed the grain in great storehouses
that he had built.  So the people brought their money to Pharaoh, like a
great tax increase, and gave it all to him willingly in return for grain.

And this went on until their money ran out, and  they were hungry again.

So when they went to Pharaoh after that, they brought their
livestock -their cattle, their horses, their sheep, and their donkeys
to barter for grain, and verse 17 says that only took them through
the end of that year…

But the famine wasn’t over, was it? So the next year, the people
came before Pharaoh and admitted they had nothing left, except
their land and their own lives.  “There is nothing left in the sight
of my lord but our bodies and our land.  Why should we die before
your eyes, both we and our land?  Buy us and our land for food,
and we with our land will be servants to Pharaoh.”  So they
surrendered their homes, their land, and their real estate to

Pharaoh’s government, and then sold themselves into slavery
to him, in return for grain.

What can we learn from this, brothers and sisters?

That turning to the government instead of to God to be our provider
in hard times only leads to slavery?   Yes.  That the only reason
government wants to be our provider is to also become our master?

Yes.

But look how that passage ends, brothers and sisters!   Thus Israel
settled in the land of Egypt , in the land of Goshen ..  And they gained
possessions in it, and were fruitful and multiplied greatly.”  God
provided for His people, just as always has!  They didn’t end up
giving all their possessions to government, no, it says they gained
possessions! But I also tell you a great truth today, and an ominous
one.  We see the same thing happening today – the government today
wants to “share the wealth “once again, to take it from us and redistribute
it back to us.  It wants to take control of healthcare, just as it has taken
control of education, and ration it back to us, and when government
rations it, then government decides who gets it, and how much, and
what kind.  And if we go along with it, and do it willingly, then we will
wind up no differently than the people of Egypt did four thousand years
ago –  as slaves to the government, and as slaves to our leaders.

Lord, You alone are worthy to be served, and we rely on You, and You alone.  We confess that the government is NOT our deliverer, and never rightly will be.

We read in the eighth chapter of 1 Samuel, when Samuel warned the people
of what a ruler would do, where it says “And in that day you will cry out
because of your king, whom you have chosen for yourselves, but
the LORD will not answer you in that day.”

And Lord, we acknowledge that day has come.  We cry out to you because of the ruler that we have chosen for ourselves as a nation.  Lord, we pray for  this nation.  We pray  for revival, and we pray for deliverance from those who would be our masters.

Give us hearts to seek You and hands to serve You, and protect Your people
from the atrocities of Pharaoh’s government.

In God We Trust….

CALVO OR CORCORAN?

Photobucket

As you can see in the article from the Miami Herald below, Richard Corcoran has very questionable associations.  In Florida House District 45, in the race between Calvo, Corcoran and Starkey… you will see over and over if you do some serious “googling” that Richard Corcoran, a personal injury attorney from Crystal River, has some VERY questionable connections.

Republicans should call on Corcoran to step out of the race. Corcoran either was participating in VERY questionable dealings, or is too ignorant to know what he was doing. In either case, this disqualifies him from being a candidate of integrity.

Starkey has money and Calvo has integrity… what kind of person do you want to serve the people of District 45?

See the Miami Herald article below….

“How Mendelsohn tried to cash in on Corcoran”

Political fund-raiser Alan Mendelsohn’s puffery was in full bloom in early May 2007 when he solicited $400,000 in donations from Fort Lauderdale businessman, Joel Steinger.

Mendelsohn, who was being recorded by Steinger in an FBI sting operation, said the money would pay for TV ads for a “political campaign for public office.”

Mendelsohn was backing Republican Richard Corcoran of Crystal River in a GOP primary for an open Senate seat that June. Corcoran was running against two other candidates, Charlie Dean of Inverness and and Dennis Baxley of Ocala.

But, there was a slight problem with Mendelsohn’s constant pitch to Steinger throughout May — Corcoran had dropped out of the primary race on May 14, 2007. In other words, the funds solicited by Mendelsohn couldn’t have been for Corcoran at that point.

Twelve days later, Steinger gave Mendelsohn the “first payment of $150,000 in contributions,” according to federal prosecutors.

In exchange for the money, Mendelsohn was recorded telling Steinger that he had bribed Gov. Charlie Crist and other government officials to shut down a federal investigation into the businessman’s company, Mutual Benefits Corp.

It was all a lie, prosecutors said. Mendelsohn was charged last month in a 32-count indictment with defrauding fat-cat contributors who gave more than $2 million to his three political action committees.

Like Steinger, they believed they were buying Mendelsohn’s clout and connections.

The doctor allegedly spent at least $624,000 of the donations on himself and his mistress — as well as funneling $87,000 to an unnamed “public official” in Florida.

This was found flying in front of a home in Indiana….. from the Free Republic website.  Could you imagine if it were a white Republican?  What the ACLU would do?  The media would be all over it, and it would be taken down.

What Happens in Heaven

praying, prayer Pictures, Images and Photos

I dreamed that I went to Heaven, and an angel was showing me around. We walked side-by-side inside to a large workroom filled with angels.  My angel guide stopped in front of the first section and said, ‘This is the Receiving Section. Here, all petitions to God said in prayer are received.”

I looked around in this area, and it was terribly busy with so many angels sorting out petitions written on voluminous paper sheets and scraps from people all over the world.

Then we moved on down a long corridor until we reached the second section.

The angel then said to me, “This is the Packaging and Delivery Section. Here, the graces and blessings the people asked for are processed and delivered to the living persons who asked for them.”   I noticed again how busy it was there. There were many angels working hard at that station, since so many blessings had been requested and were being packaged for delivery to Earth.

Finally, at the farthest end of the long corridor, we stopped at the door of a very small station. To my great surprise, only one angel was seated there, idly doing nothing. “This is the Acknowledgment Section,” my angel friend quietly admitted to me. He seemed embarrassed

“How is it that there is no work going on here?” I asked.

“So sad,” the angel sighed. “After people receive the blessings that they asked for, very few send back acknowledgments.”

“How does one acknowledge God’s blessings?” I asked.

“Simple,” the angel answered. Just say, “Thank you, God.”

“What blessings should they acknowledge?”  I asked.

“If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep, you are richer than 75% of this world. If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish, you are among the top 8% of the world’s wealthy, and if you get this on your own computer, you are part of the 1% in the world who have that opportunity.”

“If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, you are blessed more than the many who will not even survive this day.”

“If you have never experienced the fear in battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation… If you can attend a church without the fear of harassment, arrest, torture or death, you are envied by, and more blessed than three billion people in the world!”

“If your parents are still alive and still married, you are very rare.”

“If you can hold your head up and smile, you are not the norm, you’re unique to all those in doubt and despair.”

After considering all these things, we might ask, “Ok, what now? How can I start?”

If you can read this message, you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world who cannot read at all.  So, have a good day, count your blessings, and send your grateful acknowledgment heavenward.

*ALSO ADMITTED IN VIRGINIA

August 11, 2009

Dear Ms. Pelosi:

I write to you out of utter disdain!  You are as despicable and un-American as the traitor Jane Fonda.

I am a soon to be 65-year-old who has voted in every state and local election since 1966.  I have voted for both Republicans and Democrats alike.  I have worked on campaigns for both Republicans and Democrats, white and black.  I served the country that I love in Vietnam, as my son did in the Middle East.  I was awarded two bronze stars.  I have been involved in politics since age 6 when my father was the campaign manager for a truly great American Congressman, Charles Raper Jonas, who worked for his constituents and his country, and was to be admired, unlike you.

You obviously haven’t read the Constitution recently, if ever, the Federalist Papers, or even David McCullough’s book on John Adams.  You ought to take the time while riding around in your government provided luxury executive jet to do just that.  You represent Socialistic and even Marxist principals that our founding fathers tried to avoid when setting out the capitalistic republican form of government by our Constitution.

I find it interesting that you and your husband are multi-millionaires with much of your fortune being made as a result of your “public service.”  You have controlled legislation that has enhanced your husband’s investments both on and off shore.  At the same time you redistributed the wealth of others.  Our system of a free market economy is being destroyed by the likes of you, Harry Reid, and now our President.  You ride around in a gulf-stream airplane at the taxpayer’s expense while criticizing the presidents of companies who produced something for the economy.  You add nothing to the economy of the United States; you only subtract therefrom.

I would like to suggest that you return to the city of fruitcakes and nuts and eat your husband’s canned tuna and pineapple produced by illegal immigrants and by workers who have been excluded from the protection that 90% of the legal workers in the United States have.

I await your defeat in the next election with glee.

Don’t ever use the term “un-American” again for protesters who love this country and are exercising their rights upon which this country was founded.  By the way, while I served in the Army, I was spit on by the same type of lunatics who support you and who you probably supported in the 60’s and 70’s.  You are an embarrassment to all of us who served so that you would have the protected right of free speech to call us un-American.  But at the same time, I have the right to write you to notify you that I consider you to be un-American, as do the majority of the people of this formerly great country.  You are a true disgrace to most of the people who served this county by offering themselves for public service in the United States Congress.

I feel certain your aides will not share this letter with you, but I intend to share it with many.

Sincerely,

Photobucket

Dennis L. Guthrie
