A LITTLE GUN HISTORY

• In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

• In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

• Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

• China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

• Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

• Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

• Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.

It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by their own Government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars. The first year results are now in:

• Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2 percent.

• Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent.

• Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)!

• In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent. Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not, and criminals still possess their guns!

• While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed.

• There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the ELDERLY. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort, and expense was expended in successfully ridding Australian society of guns. The Australian experience and the other historical facts above prove it.

You won’t see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information.

Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.

Take note my fellow Americans, before it’s too late!

The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson.

With guns, we are citizens. Without them, we are subjects.

During WWII the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED!

If you value your freedom, please spread this anti-gun control message to all of your friends.

The purpose of fighting is to win. There is no possible victory in defense. The sword is more important than the shield, and skill is more important than either. The final weapon is the brain. All else is supplemental.

Professor Wichman E-mail

Claim: A Michigan professor sent an e-mail telling Muslim students to leave the country.

Status: True.

The story begins at Michigan State University with a mechanical engineering professor named Indrek Wichman.

Wichman sent an e-mail to the Muslim Students’ Association.

The e-mail was in response to the students’ protest of the Danish cartoons

that portrayed the Prophet Muhammad as a terrorist.

The group had complained the cartoons were “hate speech.”

In his e-mail, he said the following:

Dear Moslem Association,

As a professor of Mechanical Engineering here at MSU, I intend to protest your protest.

I am offended not by cartoons, but by more mundane things like beheadings of civilians, cowardly attacks on public buildings, suicide murders, murders of Catholic priests (the latest in Turkey), burnings of Christian churches, the continued persecution of Coptic Christians in Egypt, the imposition of Sharia law on non-Muslims, the rapes of Scandinavian girls and women (called “whores” in your culture), the murder of film directors in Holland, and the rioting and looting in Paris, France. This is what offends me, a soft-spoken person and academic, and many, many of my colleagues.

I counsel you dissatisfied, aggressive, brutal, and uncivilized slave-trading Moslems to be very aware of this as you proceed with your infantile “protests.” If you do not like the values of the West– see the 1st Amendment— you are free to leave. I hope for God’s sake that most of you choose that option. Please return to your ancestral homelands and build them up yourselves instead of troubling Americans.

As you can imagine, the Muslim group at the university didn’t like this too well. They’re demanding that Wichman be reprimanded and the university impose mandatory diversity training for faculty and mandate a seminar on hate and discrimination for all freshmen.

Now the local chapter of CAIR has jumped into the fray .

CAIR, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, apparently doesn’t believe that the good professor had the right to express his opinion.

For its part, the university is standing its ground in support of Professor Wichman, saying the e-mail was private, and they don’t intend to publicly condemn his remarks.

We are in a war.

This political correctness crap is getting old, and it is killing us.

RECENT VIRGINIA CHURCH SERVICE -STIMULUS SERMON
Gen 47:13-27

Good morning, brothers and sisters; it’s always a delight to see the pews crowded on Sunday morning, and so eager to get into God’s Word. Turn with me in your Bibles, if you will to the 47th chapter of Genesis, we’ll begin our reading at verse 13, and go through verse 27.

Brother Ray, would you stand and read that great passage for us?

Thank you for that fine reading, Brother Ray… So we see that economic hard times fell upon Egypt, and the people turned to the government of Pharaoh to deal with this for them. And, Pharaoh nationalized the grain harvest, and placed the grain in great storehouses that he had built. So the people brought their money to Pharaoh, like a great tax increase, and gave it all to him willingly in return for grain. And this went on until their money ran out, and they were hungry again.

So when they went to Pharaoh after that, they brought their livestock– their cattle, their horses, their sheep, and their donkeys– to barter for grain, and verse 17 says that only took them through the end of that year.

But the famine wasn’t over, was it?
So the next year, the people came before Pharaoh and admitted they had nothing left, except their land and their own lives. “There is nothing left in the sight of my lord but our bodies and our land. Why should we die before your eyes, both we and our land? Buy us and our land for food, and we with our land will be servants to Pharaoh.” So they surrendered their homes, their land, and their real estate to Pharaoh’s government, and then sold themselves into slavery to him, in return for grain. What can we learn from this, brothers and sisters?

That turning to the government instead of to God to be our provider in hard times only leads to slavery? Yes. That the only reason government wants to be our provider is to also become our master? Yes.

But look how that passage ends, brothers and sisters! “Thus Israel settled in the land of Egypt, in the land of Goshen. And they gained possessions in it and were fruitful and multiplied greatly.” God provided for His people, just as always has! They didn’t end up giving all their possessions to government; no, it says they gained possessions!

But I also tell you a great truth today, and an ominous one. We see the same thing happening today– the government today wants to “share the wealth ” once again, to take it from us and redistribute it back to us. It wants to take control of healthcare, just as it has taken control of education, and ration it back to us, and when government rations it, then government decides who gets it, and how much, and what kind. And if we go along with it, and do it willingly, then we will wind up no differently than the people of Egypt did four thousand years ago– as slaves to the government, and as slaves to our leaders.

What Mr. Obama’s government is doing now is no different from what Pharaoh’s government did then, and it will end the same. And a lot of people like to call Mr. Obama a “Messiah,” don’t they? Is he a Messiah? A Savior? Didn’t the Egyptians say, after Pharaoh made them his slaves, “You have saved our lives; may it please my lord, we will be servants to Pharaoh”?

Well, I tell you this – I know the Messiah; the Messiah is a friend of mine; and Mr. Obama is no Messiah! No, brothers and sisters, if Mr. Obama is a character from the Bible, then he is Pharaoh.

Bow with me in prayer, if you will.

Lord, You alone are worthy to be served, and we rely on You, and You alone. We confess that the government is not our deliverer, and never rightly will be. We read in Chapter 8 of 1 Samuel, when Samuel warned the people of what a ruler would do, where it says, “And in that day you will cry out because of your king, whom you have chosen for yourselves, but the LORD will not answer you in that day.” And Lord, we acknowledge that day has come. We cry out to you because of the ruler that we have chosen for ourselves as a nation. Lord, we pray for this nation. We pray for revival, and we pray for deliverance from those who would be our masters. Give us hearts to seek You and hands to serve You, and protect Your people from the atrocities of Pharaoh’s government.

In God We Trust…

The New Deal

Franklin Roosevelt was elected president not long after the “Great Depression” struck America with a fury. Thousands and then hundreds of thousands and then several million people lost their jobs. The Federal Reserve had been approved by Congress in 1913 with the goal of keeping the economy stable, if not prosperous. It failed completely and proved itself useless to the American public. The Federal Reserve serves no one since it is a private bank.  It makes a lot of money for the directors, but does not really help America. Today it is increasingly becoming a point of derision for millions of Americans, and it is raising questions in the minds of people who never thought about it before.

The often touted Depression-Era stories about stock owner millionaires jumping out of windows to commit suicide in New York City during the depression, are actually fiction. Nonetheless, there was a shock to the system of America.  Roosevelt’s solution was to offer Fire Side Chats to comfort and encourage the populace. That, in and of itself, was a smart move and the right thing to do.

However, he then launched into federal programs (public works projects) to provide help to the American economy. He called it, “The New Deal.”  Enormous amounts of money pumped into the economic system was supposed to jump start and revive the economy.  The WPA (Works Progress Administration), Social Security, and many other federal programs were put in place, and millions received slim salaries from these federal programs.  The debt load for the nation kept growing, and the economy continued to grind along holding millions in poverty. Pouring money into the economy from federal coffers plainly failed; and in fact, caused the Depression to last longer. These socialist, economic moves failed miserably. Nearly every economist agrees on this. The people who did best were farmers who raised their own food and provided for their own families.

Not until World War II broke out did the economy revive.  Hundreds of thousands of men joined the military and were off to war, and the war machine in our factories started manufacturing ships, tanks, airplanes, guns, and the other machines of war at breakneck speed. The economy rebounded, and the boom was on.  Private manufacturers were making these materials of war and became the heroes of the nation as they hired millions of employees.

After the war, factories that had been war machines were converted into auto producers and manufacturers of various other things; such as, farm equipment machinery, commercial airplane companies, and thousands of other goods were produced. The free markets produced, and America was again prosperous.

The next NEW DEAL in America was the Civil Rights revolution of the 1960s and the early 1970s. Civil rights and voting rights were granted to America’s black citizens. The Democratic Party opposed much of this extension of rights, even John Kennedy, but the time was right, and Americans were disgusted with segregation. Martin Luther King, who by the way was a registered Republican, would wait no longer for equality and neither would millions of other citizens. Eventually, Americans of color, and white Americans working with them, won and the Democratic Party, which had been the bastion of segregation, began to claim they were the champions of civil rights, and it was their obligation to assist under-educated and under-paid black citizens into full economic equality.  The longest living Senator in the current Senate is Democrat Robert Byrd of West Virginia, who was a leader in the Ku Klux Klan. Welfare became the name of the game and actually served to destroy many black families, which had been the finest characteristic of black Americans. The great civil rights movement in America was undermined by government welfare (Socialism), and instead of many black Americans getting a decent job and a superior education, they got a government handout.  The same story applies to many white people in the Appalachian mountain range. The socialistic policies of the Democrats kept and keep many minority Americans dependent on them to this very hour.

The purpose of this post: however, is to make people aware that a NEW DEAL is coming to America in our time… it is; however, a civil rights movement leading us back to the Constitution, back to equality and liberty for every American, back to the concepts of our Founding Fathers and Mothers, back to limiting the federal government and actually reducing the size of it, back to citizen Congressmen and Senators, rather than life-long career politicians, back to a free-market economy, back to traditional Judeo-Christian American values, back to electing people into federal government who will work for the common good of the entire nation rather than finding pork to take home so they can keep getting re-elected, and back to personal responsibility for living life in a meaningful way.

This is what the tea parties are about.  This movement is giving birth to the current town-hall meetings. This is why more and more Americans are reviving the notion of term limits. This is why new young conservatives are surfacing to run for government positions throughout the nation. This is why Rush Limbaugh and Glen Beck and others are so popular. This is why books like THE 5,000 YEAR LEAP, COMMON SENSE, SAVING FREEDOM, THE REAL GEORGE WASHINGTON, NEW DEAL OR RAW DEAL, and similar books are selling so fast and furiously.

There are also two documents that are almost selling faster than printers can print them– The Constitution of the United States and the Declaration of Independence. The internet and cyberspace is hot with blogs, posts, and comments from individuals and groups– all of them calling for the values described in this post as the NEW DEAL.

Leaders of the established political order, both Democrats and Republicans, don’t get it yet, aside from a few exceptions. The “mainstream” media, and even President Obama ignores the tea parties, but that is okay, so did King George III. This is genuinely a grassroots grass fire that will not burn out until it burns away the self-seeking congressmen and senators who have been in Congress so long, they now think of it as an entitlement. The few that rise up in opposition to the new movement– Pelosi and Reid, etc. call American citizens “mobs,” “Nazis,” etc., accomplishing only to increase the level of intensity in Americans who are demanding a return to the Constitution.

The New Deal is on the way. Adherents get frustrated because they think it is advancing too slowly; opponents get frustrated because it sees this movement as continuing to advance when they thought it would have faded by now, but both views give evidence that it is advancing. Patriot groups of various kinds and titles now dot the nation, and they are growing.  Find one!  Get involved!

There are certain books that truly explain what conservatives represent and why their values are what they are.

If you really want to know what you are talking about and be effective in the movement to take America back to the Constitution and our traditional values… you should read the following:

1.  The Holy Bible. The laws and precepts of Scripture are the foundation stones on which our Judeo-Christian value system is built.  Benjamin Franklin said that every day every American should read a bit of Scripture and the Constitution.

2.  The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States. Here you will discover the genuine role of government and discover how far from these fundamental statements our government has drifted. Obviously, these two items are not books, but they carry the heartbeat of our Republic.

3.  The 5,000 Year Leap. W. Cleon Skousen’s great book reveals the backdrop that brought the Constitution into being. No one, in my opinion, has better expressed the heritage given to us by our founders and no one has given us a clearer understanding of the Constitution and how it applies today—to taxation, the bail-outs, nationalized health care, etc. This book is a must read for anyone who loves the United States of America. This books sells out in bookstores quickly over and over again. It might be best to order it on amazon.com or some other online book-seller.  I recommended it recently to a friend, who went directly to a Borders book store and was told, “Sorry, sold out… we can’t even get it from the publisher, it goes so fast.”

4.   Common Sense. Glen Becks new hot seller exposes the Obama administration along with the progressive movement that is intentionally pulling the nation away from both it’s traditional values and the Constitution itself. He also offers practical steps to take appropriate action. The second half of the book is the original “Common Sense” pamphlet written long ago by Thomas Paine, and which launched the colonies into the move for independence from England and stirred the fires of the American Revolution.

5.   Saving Freedom. Senator Jim Demint offers an inside view as to how and why congressmen and Senators become corrupt and ignore the Constitution. Do you want to understand why Congressional approval rating rating hovers around 30–35%, but these same people keep being re-elected?  Once you read this book, you will understand, and be better equipped to stop the bus speeding toward socialism and worse!

6.  American Progressivism. This book is edited by Ronald J.  Pestritto and William J. Atto and uncurls for the reader the snake-like path taken by the progressive movement to bring us to the condition we are in today. Remember when Hillary Clinton was asked if she was a liberal, and her answer was “I would rather be called a Progressive,” read this book, and you will understand it all.

7.  The Real George Washington. Andrew Allison, Jay Parry and the great Cleon Skousen give an honest picture of President Washington. The history revisionists of our time are always trying to separate Judeo-Christian values from our Founders, and they are liars!  Read from Washington’s own words about his values, his faith, and his determination for there to be a free Republic called the United States of America.

The premiums are very high as you would expect with a government run program. In the event of a massive hurricane, Florida would be bankrupted. When Charlie Crist ran for the governor’s seat he said he would take care of these critical issues. He has not.

Additionally, Medicaid (not to be confused with Medicare) is a huge portion of the Florida state government expenditure and a huge portion of Medicaid is going to illegal aliens. Unless these three issues are addressed courageously by politicians in Tallahassee, Florida is on the road to financial bankruptcy.

Smartguyz.net believes that fresh new thinkers are needed in state government, who will address these prickly issues and help develop better solutions because it not only impacts Florida, it impacts the nation.
